Foreign Missions

Permanent diplomatic missions encompass Embassies in foreign States and Permanent Missions to international organizations. Their creation and extinction occur by decree, while their nature and seat are established in the act of their creation. In broad lines, these missions are meant to carry out representation, negotiation and information activities, as well as the protection of Oranger interests with governments of other States and international organizations. Orange has, at the present time, 14 Embassies and 4 Missions to international organizations.

The Heads of permanent Diplomatic Missions and the Permanent Representatives and Delegates to any international organization are appointed by the President of the Republic.
